Mary McDonald is a star decorator to the stars. Her commissions are in the millions and the results are maximalist beauties! And she often uses obelisks!
California home via Elle DécorThe March 2019 issue of Elle Décor features one of her maximalist interiors for a California couple. This teal office features a wonderful collection of mis-matched obelisks.
California home via Elle DécorNot many decorators would use such tall obelisks on a mantelpiece, but Mary McDonald’s use of these black marble obelisks flanking the tall mirror grabs your attention.
California home via Elle DécorThe bedroom uses soft, calming colors. A console table along the wall is decorated with classical urns and a couple of obelisks completing the scene.
via PinterestI love this photo! The shades of grey are so very chic, and the tall black obelisk mounting the desk is another statement piece that commands attention.
via Splendid SassMary McDonald often uses precious materials in her decoration and here she has used three malachite obelisks to center the room along with green curtains, vases, lamp, and a Chinese urn.
OnlyObelisks.comOur fireplace is made more dramatic by this pair of malachite obelisks just added to the OnlyObelisks.com inventory. They are beautiful and and attention getting!
Even if most of us cannot afford the decorating advice of Mary McDonald, we can add obelisks to a desk, mantelpiece, or console table for a chic and eye catching effect.
