Antique Ashford Marble Obelisk - floral inlay
Product Description
Lovely antique English Ashford marble obelisk, circa mid to late 19th century. Ashford marble obelisks were favored by Queen Victoria and examples can be seen at Chatsworth, the seat of the Dukes of Devonshire. The inlaid floral design is particularly attractive and colorful.
Dimensions: 12 1/2 inches tall. Base 3 1/2 square.
Condition:The obelisk is in very good condition with small nicks consistent with it's age. There is a small chip at the rear of the tip (photo included), and two small repairs to one corner of the base and to the corner of the plinth. More photos can provided on request.
